American rock band from Irvine, California that was formed in 1998 will be in Toronto. Hellz yeah! Thrice will be at the The Phoenix Concert Theatre on June 15th. The band consists of founder Dustin Kensrue(Lead Vocals/Guitar), founder Teppei Teranishi(Guitar/Keyboards/Backing Vocals), Eddie Breckenridge(Bass/Backing Vocals) and Riley Breckenridge(Drums/Percussion.) Early in their career Thrice was known for fast and hard music because of their distortion in guitars, lead guitarist lines and changes in their complex time signatures which was established in their second album ‘The Illusion of Safety‘ and third album ‘The Artist in the Ambulance.’ Thrice’s forth album ‘Vheissu‘ made a huge change by adding more of a electric beat with keyboards and more ‘mature’ lyrics.

History
Dustin Kensrue and Teppei Teranishi met each other in high school where they formed a band which is unknown; later Teppei introduced Eddie Breckenridge as the bass player that brought Riley Breckenridge as the drummer. In 1998 it was said the group came up with the name ‘Thrice’ from a joke said from Dustin’s friend that he had beaten the Play Station game; Frogger twice where Dustin said he beat it ‘Thrice.‘ In 2003 Thrice released their studio album The Artist in the Ambulance with Island Records which was meant for reflecting the band as doing more than just music and contribute to the society through their collections of charitable donations such as; a breast cancer organization for patients. In 2005 with the album ‘Vheissu‘ they made donations for underprivileged children on Dave Eggers’s charity 826 ‘Valencia‘ making the band tour unstoppably. In 2007 Thrice left Island Records and went joined with Vagrant Records making them release ‘The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II‘ which sold 28,000 copies in its first week and was #24 on the Billboard 200 chart; in April the second half of the project was released, ‘ The Alchemy Index Vols.
