Life a little dull….?

You could be a sales man that pitches ‘why rigid foam insulation is best for your home’ or you could be the host for an Ontario microFit program, regardless you probably hate your job and just cannot wait to get home to your wife…oh wait she just talked to you about going to a marriage counsellor, so now what are you going to do? You can’t quit your job to do what you’ve always wanted to do….start your own business as a manufacturing software technician or your wife will most likely leave you. It seems years pass by faster and faster, and life is just not going as you planned…you could always live up at your cottage in Muskoka for a month, paint your old rusty patio furniture, hire a home staging professional to re-decorate the place, but what is the point anymore? You still have to go home and clean swimming pools for you and your neighbour…maybe you could find after work and weekend activities like a dance class or get another job installing  wall systems. Wow, seems like a pretty dull life you got there and I actually feel sorry for you…but you know the only person that can do something about it is YOU! Okay, obviously you cannot do much about your job because of the money situation, but maybe 2011 is the year for you and your wife to have FUN, and nothing more? It might straighten things up between the two of you and you could really start enjoying your life for once…

So, I take it you are going to need a little push and would like to know what is going on in Ontario this year….

Here goes…

Filed under Announcement, Ontario, PAM News & Press, Party Events, Sound Academy, Toronto Concerts, Toronto Events, Toronto Festivals

I have not seen Coheed & Cambria since Warped Tour over 5 years ago; I cannot wait to see them for the second time. That’s right…American Rock band from New York City will be performing at the Sound Academy on Wednesday May 19th, 2010. In 1995 Coheed & Cambria was originally named “Shabütie” until the drummer Nate Kelley left the group; now a days the band consists of Claudio Sanchez(Lead Vocals/Lead & Rhythm Guitar/Keyboards/Synthesizer,) Travis Stever(Lead and Rhythm Guitar/Lap Steel Guitar/Backing Vocals/Synthesizer), Michael Todd(Bass/Backing Vocals) and Chris Pennie(Drums/Percussion.)

COHEED & CAMBRIA HISTORY

In March 1995 the band ‘Toxic Parents‘ with Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever’s, Nate Kelley and Jon Carleo split up and Shawna Wirkus joined the group which started a new band ‘Beautiful Loser,’ that lasted until June 1995 when Stever left the band; making the band name change too ‘Shabütie.’ The band spent a year trying out different music types such as; Punk Rock/Indie Rock/Acoustic Rock/Funk/Heavy Metal and when Carleo left the band in 1996 Kelley recruited Michael Todd to take over bass. As the band ‘Shabütie‘ wrote many songs and released their studio demo record Stever joined back to the band in 1999 and later Kelley left the band. Saying that Coheed & Cambria came out to be the new band name and in 2002 the band released its first studio album ‘The Second Stage Turbine Blade‘ after they signed with ‘Equal Vision Records.‘ Eventually Coheed & Cambria played several tours in the US and Japan which they also participated in the 2002 Vans Warped Tour; shortly after started to work with Blaze James who helped with larger stages and fans. In October 2003 after having excessive touring with Breaking Pangaea, Linkin Park, The Used, and Slipknot they released their second studio album making them tour with Thursday, Thrice, AFI, and Rainer Maria. That album peaked up to #52 on the Billboard Charts which was certified gold by the RIAA. In 2005 they signed off to Columbia Records making their third studio album take #7 on the Billboard Charts and touring with The Blood Brothers, Circa Survive, Dredg, Head Automatica, and Avenged Sevenfold. In 2007 Coheed & Cambria’s forth studio album with Columbia Records the second time taking #6 on the Billboard Charts making them tour for almost all of 2009 and just recently of this year they released their fifth studio album.

Let us know if you are attending this Coheed & Cambria with Circa Survive & Torche by joining Coheed & Cambria PAM event.
